Lucy ED2025-01-16Super intelligent incredible guide We were so glad that we got a transfer with Ruwan. It made our trip a lot easier from Negombo to Sigiriya and was incredibly reasonably priced. But, more importantly, a fantastic insight into Sri Lankan culture. We had a super interesting conversation during the drive, which made it go so quickly. It was not a one-way exchange either which can sometimes make it a bit uncomfortable. Ruwan's English is excellent and his knowledge about world affairs makes him super interesting. I needed the toilet during our drive and he went out of his way to stop. As we had just arrived, he stopped at a little cafe en route to buy us some snacks to introduce us. Just amazing. Would have hired him for a full tour without hesitation.

We were absolutely delighted with Nalaka, a very professional driver and guide who found us some excellent Sri Lankan restaurants. He was our first driver/guide when we arrived and decided to use his services again before we left as we knew he was discreet, trustworthy and very reliable.

In communication, he showed himself respectfully, intelligently. He gave advice on hotels and restaurants. He treated the children well. Ruwan knows English well, is always in touch, and knows interesting facts about Sri Lanka.He also went up with us to difficult places and helped with the ascent (I was alone with 2 children).I think Ruwan is the best driver to explore Sri Lanka. ????? ?2023-12-14Thank you, Ruwan! Me, my wife and two kids have got excellent experience were travelling with our driver, Ruwan, around Sri-Lanka in December 2023. First we had contacted him two weeks before our trip and planned the route. Ruwan suggested the best options, considering our wishes and timings. He picked us up in the airport and took to Hikkaduwa, where we were going to stay. After three days he had returned and we started our trip to the inner part of the Sri Lanka. It was really amazing journey, we visited wonderful places and had an awesome experience. Ruwan provided excellent service: his driving style is confident and safe, he has neat, clean and comfortable car, his English is pretty good and he can tell interesting and curious facts about life and history of Sri Lanka, its nature and people. He recommended us the restaurants and hotels and they were always met our requirements. He is very accurate and helpful, kind and patient. We had a pretty tight schedule, but Ruwan completed it flawlessly - we covered all as planned. I can wholeheartedly confirm all warm words, spoken below by Ruwan's thankful customers - it's all true.I sincerely recommend Ruwan and Happy Ceylon Trips. We contacted each other via WhatsApp in advance, discussed the details, Ruvan adjusted our tour a little, and we found the hotels ourselves. These were wonderful 5 days, filled with interesting locations. We really liked Ruvan as a driver, careful driving, punctual, honest, helped us with any of our problems, took into account all our wishes! We had planned a trip from Colombo, around in the cultural triangle with endpoint in Kandy. Nalaka is a kind, reflected and calm person that you really feel wants the best for his customers. From the first night he made sure that we found the right accommodation for us. Further on he would also help us plan how we could get as much out of our days as we wanted.All the way he would answer any question we had about Sri Lankan culture and heritage. He is a knowledgeable man who could tell us about Sri Lankan agriculture, politics, schools, daily life and ancient history.
